Our experts

The Anti-Crisis Shield is a colloquial term for a package of laws preparedi.a. by the Ministry of Development, the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy and the Ministry of Finance, aimed at counteracting the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic in the healthcare and social aspects, and at the same time halting the economic slowdown and minimising economic consequences. They extend some of the already existing solutions as well as introduce completely new support mechanisms for employees and entrepreneurs. All laws included in the so-called anti-crisis shield have already been signed by the president and published in the Journal of Laws.

The Law Office provides legal assistance to entrepreneurs who wish to use the solutions adopted under the so-called anti-crisis shield, in particular in the aspect of:

  • Preparation of an application for exempting an entrepreneur from the obligation to pay Social Insurance (ZUS) premiums
  • Preparation of an application for payment of the idle-time benefit
  • Preparation of a loan application for an entrepreneur
  • Employee-related matters (downtime, remote work, vacation, etc.)
  • Support in negotiating changes in the conditions of contract accomplishment in connection with an extraordinary change in economic relations (rebus sic stantibus clause) and with the force majeure event, including renegotiation of terms of the premises’ lease
  • Support in restructuring liabilities towards banks and financial institutions
